Does your company need a natural health expert?

Alongside my clinical work with individual clients, I also provide consultancy services to companies who need advice on all aspects of nutrition and natural healthcare. I have worked with catering companies, health food companies, design agencies and social networking sites (among others) to help them reach out to their health conscious customers. Are you scared of flying?

As the summer arrives, many people are starting to look forward to their holidays. But for others, the thought of getting on a plane may fill them with dread, or even prevent them from going abroad. There are many ways to tackle fear of flying, including medication and hypnotherapy, but a less well known option is kinesiology. Treatment with kinesiology can help to remove fears and phobias about flying, leaving you free to travel calmly as often as you wish. In fact, removing fears is sometimes the basis of a lot of kinesiology treatment, even for physical symptoms. Drop me a line if you'd like any more information about this.

Lose Weight by Chewing!


Many of you will know that I am a great believer in the importance of chewing properly and eating slowly, and now some research has been released to substantiate my advice! The study was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and involved 13 people who were randomly assigned to chew 55g of almonds, 10, 25 or 40 times. Results showed that chewing 40 times was found to suppress hunger and elevate the feeling of fullness more than 25 chews. Levels of appetite-suppressing hormones were significantly higher after 40 chews too, compared to 25 chews. So my advice continues to be 'Chew your food as much as you can!'.
